John Michael Biffar
John, 23, was born in Portsmouth, VA on September 19, 1983. He spent time at Camp Lejeune and Camp Pendleton, where his mother was a Navy nurse, until making Fort Myers, FL their home when John was 8 years old.
John went to Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, FL for high school. AFA is where John became a standout runner dominating Pinellas County. John started running in third grade and hasn't stopped yet. Just finishing his second marathon, he's addicted to improving and tackling the 26.2 mile monster.
For the last two years John has been employed by Coca Cola Enterprises as a Retail Account Representative (sales) locally here in Fort Myers. He recently received a new route for work, putting him only 10 minutes away from the stores he works out of. He used to have to drive 1 hour each way to Marco Island, a more seasonal vacation area.
Antoinette Nicole Savino
Antoinette, 22, was born in Elmira, NY on July 3, 1984. She lived in Horseheads, NY for 14 years before making the big move to Seminole, FL with her parents.
While in NY she lived, breathed, and dreamed gymnastics. She attended Elmira Gymnastics for about 8 years, starting at the age of four.
She started Track Field in 7th grade while still in NY - making the field events "her thing." In Florida, at Seminole High School, Antoinette set the high jump school record with the help of the best high jump teammates ever. After participating on the cross country team for two years at SHS, Antoinette was part of the Inaugural Cross Country Team at FGCU. As team captain for 3 years at FGCU
After receiving her B.S. in Athletic Training from Florida Gulf Coast University last spring, Antoinette is now enrolled at Nova Southeastern University for the Physician Assistant program in Naples, FL. Upon completion of this 27 month program (August 2008) she hopes to work in the field of orthopedics.
